There should be other files in there including a 'MOVIES' folder, a few 'FST' folders, the Oregon Trail 2 executable file, and an INI file called 'Oregonii.ini'. Copy everything except the 'OREGONII.DAT' file and the folders into a new folder on your hard drive.
Open 'Oregonii.ini' and look for the line 'rsrcpath'. Change the 'd: data' to reflect your CD/DVD ROM drive. Make sure the 'data' location is mirrored/included as well. Open the game and enjoy!
