Crime boss Steven Reign and Triad Ricky Tan, an ex-cop who played a mysterious part in the death of Det. Lee's father. Throw in a power struggle between Tan and the gorgeous but dangerous Hu Li and the boys are soon up to their necks in fist fights and life-threatening situations.
A trip back to the U.S. May provide the answers about the bombing, the counterfeiting, and the true allegiance of sexy customs agent Isabella. Then again, it may turn up more excitement than Carter was looking for during his vacation. Alternate Versions The televised version aired on Fox, 6 May 2005 included alternate footage to replace questionable language. The new footage included: • 1) James Carter saying 'Yeah, this is my titty - I mean, yeah, this is my city'; the alternate footage changes it to 'Yeah, that's right.' • 2) Ricky Tan's line 'I hate that fortune cookie shit' was changed to 'Where did you get that? In a fortune cookie?'
This shot is noticeably changed from the original - it features an even tighter close-up of John Lone's face to the point where the film grain is very evident. A lot of comedy in this movie, which makes this movie so entertaining, from the beginning to the end. Lots of action in such different places, like Hong Kong, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. It is very interesting to follow the storyline through those different cities. The LA's skyscrapers are always spectacular in any movie. Jackie Chan is well as usual and Chris Tucker seems to be inspired, except when he is talking in Chinese language! Chris Tucker is a great American actor and we like him as an example of a good patriotic American. Inspector Lee and Carter are an awesome duo, they seem to be the only thing in this movie, but the kick in Carter's face from Hu Li makes clear it is not so. Zhang Ziyi is a perfect complement to this couple.
John Lone is very credible in his role. And American actress Rosalyn Sanchez is a stunning surprise.

Presented at 2.40 in a VC-1 transfer of about 17 Mb/s, the opening in LA looked super, and made me double check the rate meter. It has a look that I would call a high contrast serious palette and I liked it. Great color that looks realistic without being intense. Watching at 3-4PH most everything looks sharp and contrasty and what grain is on the screen is fine, and even at 1.25 PH (closer that Cinema viewing sizes) the image held it's own. It's not the top notch in film detail transfer I've seen but overall is was very very nice.
The Paris shots look postcard clear and the exotic women review has silver dollar potential. Night shots at the 'Eiffel Tower' sequence sometime don't look as well but many are CGI shots so they have to blend in. The motorcycle chase sequence looks as good as any top notch Hollywood production. The detail in the taxi driver's face in those shots makes the sequence even funnier. Well the New Line Blu-rays have all come with great extras and this release is no exception. Apart from the movie disc there is a second BD full of extras. The menu on Disc one has a warm orangeish tint and on Disc two a cooler blue or violet tint, maybe to distinguish them easier.
